Listening to the rain outside my window pitta- pattering like a tap dancer upon the calçada, with a clowder of contented cats about me, I write

No! I am not Bridget Bardot and her many donkeys, never been that famous be it at seventeen a Beauty Queen of 1968. Now you have my earth-strong years!

Proud mother of two children and a stepdaughter. Life’s journey has led to living and working in many places - Jamaica, Canada, and the USA. Through it all, I write!

Why Write?

The Ostrich running fast does not take flight, yet somewhere in its strident steps, its natural desire and belief is that it can and that it will! We run with the intent of reaching soaring heights! The definitive is the running!

What I Write

What I Write

If you were to come to where I reside in Portugal, Ginger a large caramel coloured tabby might offer you tea! Freddy a sleek and elegant version might even offer you a chair. Paw Paw, the dainty tortoiseshell female might even offer to comb your hair.

Drawn to the swagger of his walk, Prince the Siamese, settling to rest on a chair, or if you’re lucky, your lap! Your imagination might then lead to thinking he’s a 'pirate' complete with swash-buckling claws, boots, and swords! And you could be right! Purring, his paws dabbing gently against your stomach sending you off to sleep, he takes you to ‘The Island’!

As for Patch, if you are very lucky, you might receive a tummy massage, his paws kneading gently at your belly. A patch of black to one side of his face, his emerald-green eyes will seemingly squint inquisitively at you. The rest of his face is soft white fur, from which a contented smile is displayed!
